How do I get a Free Trial?

Try before you buy!

You can trial all Dynamic Learning titles for free so that you can see all the benefits Dynamic Learning brings, before you buy. A trial gives you full access to all the resources in a title, with a set of logins for both teachers and students, for 30 days.

To celebrate the launch of Dynamic Learning we’re giving every teacher extended access to all Dynamic Learning titles until 17th September 2010.

All you need to do is:

1. Browse through the subjects in the left-hand menu
2. Click on More Details to find out information about each title
3. Choose ‘Free Trial’ or ‘Register for Free Trial Upon Publication
4. You can add as many titles to your basket as you’d like
5. When you have added everything you’d like to trial click on ‘Proceed to Checkout’ in your basket and follow the simple instructions.

When you have completed the checkout process we’ll send you an email that confirms which titles you have trials to and also gives you a set of log ins:

• Your personal log in
• A generic teacher log in for you to share with your department / colleagues
• A student log in

After 17th September all titles will be available to access on a standard 30 day free trial.

What can I do in a Free Trial?

During your free trial you can access all the content associated with the title(s) you are trialling, but you will not be able to create or import new users, manage groups, assign lessons to users or groups, view reports and usage statistics, or create VLE content packs until you have nominated a super Admin. Find out more about Super Admins here.

You can convert your trial to a subscription at any time by going to the ‘Manage My Titles’ page after you’ve logged in to Dynamic Learning. When you subscribe to a title you’ll be able to continue accessing all the content for the entire length of your subscription and take advantage of all the features mentioned above, so you can really start to build Dynamic Learning into your long-term teaching plans.

If you registered for Dynamic Learning via an agent outside the UK, please contact them directly to subscribe.

How do I subscribe to a Dynamic Learning title?

You can convert your trial into a subscription at any time (or you can buy a subscription straight away – you don’t have to trial anything if you know what you want!). Subscriptions are available on both an Annual and a Subscription Plus* basis. The price of a subscription varies according to the size of your institution/cohort to ensure you have the best value for money. For full pricing options simply find the title you want and click on the View Price Options button. Alternatively you can click Add to Basket and select the relevant options when prompted.

In addition to subscribing to individual titles, you can also subscribe to special Money Saving Offers which are relevant titles grouped by subject and/or level. For example, you could subscribe to all the Dynamic Learning resources for Science at KS3 rather than subscribing to each individual title. These title bundles offer further value-for-money and are perfect for purchase at Local Authority level too. To find out more about these offers click here.

There are different pricing options when subscribing to Dynamic Learning. One option is to buy an Annual subscription, which you then renew each year.

Alternatively you can choose to buy Subscription Plus which means that you pay a one-off fee and can subscribe to that title/course for the life-time of that particular title/course. Subscription Plus offers great value for money and it’s a brilliant way to ensure you make the most of your budget while it’s available!

For example:

Following the curriculum change for GCSE English in 2010, you could choose Subscription Plus for our new AQA GCSE English Language & English Literature.

You then would have access to all the resources, until the next change to the English GCSE curriculum (which won’t be for several years!).

The one-off Subscription Plus payment works out cheaper than paying for AQA GCSE English Language & Literature on an annual basis for more than one year.

Money Saving Offer bundles are just that… bundles of titles that save you money!

For example:
If you wanted to subscribe to AQA Biology for AS you could also buy a separate subscription for AQA Biology for A2.

However, if you chose to subscribe to the AQA Biology A level Money Saving Bundle you would get both titles for a lower price. If you chose Subscription Plus on the AQA Biology A level Money Saving Bundle you’d save even more of your budget!

AQA Biology for AS: £100.00+VAT each year
AQA Biology for A2: £100.00+VAT each year
AQA Biology for A level: £150 each year
AQA Biology for A level Subscription Plus: £450 for the lifetime of the specification

To find out what offers are available simply browse through the relevant subject. Additionally on each title page, for instance Connecting Science Year 7 for Key Stage 3, you will be able to see if there is a related Money Saving Bundle available, like the Connecting Science Year 7, 8 and 9 Money Saving Bundle.

What happens once I subscribe?

When you subscribe you’ll be able to take advantage of Dynamic Learning to the fullest extent, by creating or importing new users, and assigning work to individual students or groups. An invoice will be sent to you but you can access your subscription straight away.

You will be sent a generic Student login but we recommend that you set up your students individually however so that you can assign them work. You can create or import your students using Manage users. You and your institution’s Super Admin will also be able to create additional Teacher and Teacher Admin logins. Click here for more details.

What is the difference between Dynamic Learning and Dynamic Learning Student Online?

Dynamic Learning is an online subscription site offering a wealth of resources, both interactive and in document form. It provides advanced tools to search across subjects, reorganise and repurpose these resources, and allows teachers to add resources of their own. It also includes the Lesson Builder tool which allows teachers to add resources of all types, from Dynamic Learning or your own folders, to create lessons which can then be assigned to individual students or groups of students and made available to other teachers. Lessons and resources from the title can also be exported to SCORM 2004 packs and imported into your VLE or Learning Platform.

Dynamic Learning titles usually include the answers to any exercises mentioned in the book. These are accessible only by teachers.

Dynamic Learning is a subscription service for which a fee is charged. Subscriptions are sold to institutions, not individuals and each institution is provided with a unique URL from which to access the site when it subscribes.

Dynamic Learning Student Online is a free website designed to accompany the student editions of certain books. A code is printed in the book and each student or teacher can go to the site, register their email address (no additional information is required), type in the code, and immediately access the resources. No teacher resources are included and no answers to exercises are provided.

Dynamic Learning Student Online does not visually resemble Dynamic Learning at all and it doesn’t include the same functionality that Dynamic Learning does. Put simply it’s an easy means of accessing a book's associated electronic content.
